About the role
TL;DR
Manage and grow the dbt Slack community, fostering engagement and collaboration among data practitioners.
- •We're looking for a new team member to join our dbt community team—a group of passionate community builders dedicated to empowering data practitioners worldwide.
- •In this role, you'll lead our digital engagement efforts, with a primary focus on managing and growing the dbt Slack community.
- •Key Responsibilities Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community, ensuring a welcoming, high-signal experience for members worldwide.
- •Partner with community leaders and internal stakeholders to evolve channel strategy, community guidelines, and engagement programming.
- •Develop and maintain scalable moderation and support workflows, including Code of Conduct enforcement.
- •Surface community insights and member feedback to Product, Marketing, and Support.
- •Monitor and report on key engagement and health metrics and run experiments to improve them.
- •Requirements 5+ years of experience in digital community management, online engagement, or community program management.
- •Demonstrated experience owning day-to-day operations for a large online community.
- •Strong understanding of online community dynamics and how to cultivate trust, belonging, and shared purpose at scale.
- •Excellent written communication and facilitation skills.
- •Experience using community tooling and analytics to track engagement, identify trends, and drive improvement.
