About the role
TL;DR
Lead data science for Figma's AI products, setting strategy and shaping measurement.
- •Figma is seeking a Director of Data Science to lead their AI Product's Data Science organization.
- •This role will set the vision for how data shapes strategy across Figma's AI products, working closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Research leadership.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead, support, and grow a team of data scientists and data science managers.
- •Champion data quality, accessibility, and democratization across the company.
- •Shape how AI products are measured, including evals, quality, and experimentation for LLM-powered assistants and agents.
- •Partner with cross-functional teams to drive impact through data-driven insights.
- •Requirements 8+ years of experience managing and leading high output Data Science teams, with at least 2 years managing other managers. 7+ years of experience working in AI, Data Science, or a related field.
- •Proven experience building or measuring AI products, ideally LLM-powered assistants, agents, chatbots, or copilots.
- •Demonstrated expertise in statistical methods, experimentation, and/or forecasting.
