About the role
TL;DR
Develops and validates structural models for Li-ion battery components and assemblies.
- •Verkor is seeking a Structural Modelling Engineer to develop, validate, and deploy structural modeling capabilities for Li-ion battery components and assemblies.
- •You will contribute to robust product design by delivering reliable models and correlating simulations with physical tests.
- •Key Responsibilities Develop structural finite-element models for Li-ion battery cells, module and pack assemblies.
- •Perform meshing and run structural and thermo-mechanical simulations under static and dynamic events.
- •Build surrogate models to accelerate design exploration.
- •Validate simulation models against physical test results.
- •Construct analysis workflows to support thermo-mechanical design optimization.
- •Requirements Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- •Specialized knowledge in structural mechanics, strength of materials, and thermo-mechanical behavior. 10+ years of experience in structural and thermal modeling, finite-element analysis, and model validation.
- •Proficiency in CAD, meshing, mathematical modeling, and model order reduction techniques.
- •Proficiency in scientific coding (Python and/or Matlab) and simulation tools (3DEXPERIENCE, Abaqus, LS-DYNA).
