About the role
TL;DR
Implement UI systems and features, shaping direction and mentoring others.
- •As an experienced Senior Technical UI Designer, you will work closely with UX Designers, UI Artists, and UI Programmers to implement UI systems and features.
- •You will raise the bar for the discipline through the standards you set, the workflows you improve, and the people you mentor, advocating for the player experience.
- •Key Responsibilities Break down features into clear, scoped tasks, identifying unknowns and dependencies.
- •Prototype and prove out new UI techniques, pushing the limits of UMG.
- •Design robust, reusable component systems that remain flexible.
- •Implement data-driven UI through ViewModels and view bindings.
- •Build for all players, accounting for screen sizes, localization, and accessibility.
- •Requirements Project expert in technical UI implementation with experience shipping UI in game engines.
- •Hands-on Unreal and UMG experience, or strong experience in another game engine.
- •Proven experience with data-driven UI and separation of data from presentation.
- •Strong visual eye and working knowledge of UX/UI, layout, composition, and interaction patterns.
- •Comfortable designing within performance and memory budgets.
