Senior Manager, Network Operations

Lead and develop the Network Operations team, manage infrastructure modernization, and ensure high availability.

• •Lead Marqeta's Network Operations team through a modernization from data centers to cloud-native architecture while maintaining 99.999% uptime; manage both AWS networking and physical POPs.
• •Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of network and software engineers, driving automation and reliability.
• •Own strategy and roadmap for infrastructure modernization and POP footprint optimization.
• •Architect and operate AWS networking (VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect) and data center hardware.
• •Manage corporate network (Cisco Meraki) and ISP/circuit relationships for offices and HQ.
• •Requirements Hands-on experience with data center networking hardware (Cisco) and firewalls (Palo Alto).
• •Proven AWS networking expertise and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) experience.
• •Strong leadership, vendor/contract management, and incident response for high-availability systems.
