About the role
TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer to build and own features for Baselayer's identity graph.
- •Baselayer is building the most comprehensive, accurate, and continuously-current identity graph of US businesses and consumers.
- •This role involves owning product features end-to-end, from schema design to data ingestion and API development.
- •Key Responsibilities Ingest and normalize heterogeneous public records into the graph.
- •Build and maintain entity resolution and linking systems.
- •Design and ship customer-facing APIs for search, lookup, monitoring, and webhook delivery.
- •Optimize performance and scale for ingestion pipelines and API latencies.
- •Build multi-tenancy and access control at the data layer.
- •Requirements Shipped product features end-to-end in production.
- •Owned and evolved a Postgres schema critical for real decisions.
- •Strong async Python with experience running async services at scale.
- •Deep Postgres expertise including schema design, EXPLAIN ANALYZE, and zero-downtime migrations.
- •Experience with FastAPI (or close equivalent) for building real APIs.
- •Built multi-tenant APIs with data layer access control.
