TL;DR
Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work with strategic customers on AI solutions.
- •As Intercom’s AI Agent Fin becomes mission-critical for strategic customers, this role bridges the gap between customer needs and product innovation.
- •You will work hands-on with customers to design and deliver high-impact solutions, shaping product direction and ensuring Fin delivers measurable business outcomes.
- •Key Responsibilities Drive adoption of Fin by helping prospects unlock Intercom’s AI capabilities.
- •Embed deeply with strategic customers to understand their challenges and technical requirements.
- •Work hands-on with customers’ technical teams as a trusted technical expert.
- •Collaborate closely with Sales, Success, and Product teams.
- •Contribute to the evolution of the Forward Deployed Software Engineering function.
- •Requirements Strong engineering background (Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics).
- •Experience building a SaaS product with real-world usage.
- •Interest in AI/ML and quickly building understanding of novel problems and architectures.
- •Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- •Strong coder with deep knowledge of at least one high-level programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
- •Ability to prototype and ship software quickly with a high bar for quality.
- •Proficient in using and writing REST APIs.
- •Strong communicator adaptable to technical and non-technical audiences.
- •Willingness to travel and work on-site with customers.
