Software Quality Ops Scenarios Specialist (DiscSim)

Ensure safety and quality of Waymo Driver through simulation testing and operations.

• •Waymo is seeking a Software Quality Ops Scenarios Specialist to ensure the safety, reliability, and quality of the Waymo Driver.
• •This role bridges the gap between simulation software capabilities and real-world operational execution.
• •Key Responsibilities Partner with Product and Engineering teams on design, test, and deployment of simulation tools.
• •Drive technical processes for "rapid-response" simulation-based scenario testing for issue evaluation.
• •Define and document new policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• •Design and implement quality control processes for human and AI-generated outputs.
• •Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your specific domain, providing technical leadership.
• •Requirements BS/BA degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in AV Software Quality, Simulation or Technical Operations.
• •Experience with ML testing and validation methods.
• •Ability to quickly master proprietary software tools and root-cause high complexity, technical issues.
