Technical Engineering Lead (Back End)

Lead backend development and architecture for customer-facing services.

• •As a Technical Lead on the Growth team, you will own the fullstack architecture for customer-facing conversion and engagement surfaces, with a primary focus on backend services, APIs, and data flows.
• •Key Responsibilities Define and evolve the fullstack architecture for Growth surfaces with a focus on backend services, APIs, and data flows.
• •Champion a component-driven design system with modular, testable patterns.
• •Drive performance optimization across the stack as a lever for conversion and engagement.
• •Partner with Design, Product, and Marketing to scope experiments and prioritize improvements.
• •Remain hands-on: write and review code daily across backend (Ruby, Python) and frontend (TypeScript/React).
• •Requirements 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years focused on backend development.
• •Deep proficiency in Ruby and/or Python, with strong working knowledge of TypeScript and React.
• •Strong experience with API design, relational databases (PostgreSQL), and distributed systems.
• •Proficiency with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
