- •Deep Genomics is seeking a Senior/Staff Machine Learning Scientist to innovate within their AI research team, focusing on building Biological Foundation Models (BioFMs).
- •This role involves pioneering novel deep learning architectures and pre-training paradigms to understand genome and cellular biology.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead research, architecture design, and training of Biological Foundation Models (BioFMs) on massive-scale genomic, transcriptomic, and single-cell datasets.
- •Collaborate with computational biologists and drug developers to integrate biological priors into models.
- •Implement, train, debug, and evaluate large-scale models for scientific validity.
- •Mentor junior scientists and engineers, fostering technical excellence.
- •Requirements PhD with a research focus in Computational Biology, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- •Deep understanding of modern deep learning and foundation models (CNNs, Transformers, sequence models) for biological data.
- •Track record of building and scaling AI models for complex biological datasets.
- •Proven ability to implement, train, and debug deep learning models using frameworks like PyTorch.
- •Experience with massive datasets and associated engineering/algorithmic challenges.
