Senior AFC Operations Specialist to protect against financial crime risks and enhance AFC processes.
- •As a Senior AFC Operations Specialist, you will be instrumental in safeguarding lemon.markets, its partners, and their customers from financial crime risks throughout the customer lifecycle.
- •You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and the second line of defense to ensure AFC operations are effective, scalable, and audit-ready.
- •Key Responsibilities Own day-to-day AFC operations including transaction monitoring, customer screening, Source of Wealth reviews, investigations, and regulatory information requests.
- •Investigate potentially suspicious customer activity and collaborate with the Team Lead and MLRO for escalations and SAR-related documentation.
- •Design and improve AFC controls, workflows, and work instructions across the customer lifecycle.
- •Drive process optimization and operational projects to enhance transaction monitoring, reduce manual effort, and improve control effectiveness.
- •Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Banking domains as an AFC subject-matter expert.
- •Requirements Substantial hands-on AFC Operations experience in financial services, including investigations and risk-based decision-making.
- •Practical experience preparing and submitting suspicious activity reports via goAML.
- •Solid experience improving, automating, and scaling AFC processes.
- •Deep understanding of German and European AML requirements and regulatory expectations.
- •Fluent in German (C2) and confident communication in English (C1).
