About the role
TL;DR
Electrical Engineering Intern to develop and validate electronic hardware for autonomous flying sensors.
- •Skydio is seeking interns for its EE Team to help prototype, validate, develop, and refine electrical systems for autonomous flying sensors.
- •You will work alongside world-class engineers on challenging problems.
- •Key Responsibilities Take ownership of low-voltage electronic hardware development, including specification, schematic design, PCB layout, prototyping, and fabrication.
- •Perform hands-on bring-up, assembly, and debugging of custom circuit boards for testing and validation.
- •Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, reliability, software, and electrical teams to build reliable test and validation systems.
- •Develop and test PCBAs for subsystems such as power distribution, battery management, sensing, motor control, and computing.
- •Requirements Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- •Solid grasp of electrical engineering fundamentals.
- •Familiar with basic EE lab tools (oscilloscope, signal generators, etc.).
- •Familiar with scripting/programming in Python/C.
- •Ability to obtain FAA Part 107 certification within 30 days of engagement start, if required.
