Security Engineer

Build and run security systems protecting AI-native developer tools and agent execution.

• •Security Engineers at Cognition design and build security controls for AI-native developer tools, protecting sandboxed agent execution, developer environments, and sensitive customer data.
• •Key Responsibilities Harden sandboxing, isolation, and runtime controls for agent execution.
• •Lead product and infrastructure security, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
• •Build internal security tooling for secrets, identity, dependency security, and detection.
• •Run incident response and build detection pipelines.
• •Partner with GTM and legal for compliance and customer trust initiatives.
• •Requirements Hands-on product, infrastructure security, and detection & response experience.
• •Strong software engineering skills; proficiency in Python, Rust, and/or Go.
• •Experience securing Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• •Web security and threat modeling expertise.
