About the role
TL;DR
Design and operate the core backend for a tax advisory technology platform.
- •Clera is building the operating system for the German tax advisory industry, transforming firms with an AI-powered platform.
- •As a founding engineer, you will design and operate the core backend, defining how data moves, work gets done, and the platform scales.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and operate core backend services.
- •Build robust data pipelines from DATEV, banks, and documents.
- •Design and operate workflow orchestration for complex processes.
- •Own system correctness, observability, and performance end-to-end.
- •Collaborate directly with the CTO on system design and architecture.
- •Requirements 3+ years of professional experience building and operating production backend systems.
- •Strong proficiency in TypeScript for backend development.
- •Hands-on experience designing and operating workflow orchestration systems.
- •Strong observability, monitoring, and performance optimization skills.
- •Experience integrating DATEV or similar accounting software.
