Staff Software Engineer, GCS - Full Stack

Lead full-stack development of GCS/C2 software, mentor engineers, and drive technical direction.

• •Shield AI is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to develop and field web-based Ground Control Station (GCS) and Command & Control (C2) software.
• •This role involves technical leadership, cross-team collaboration, and hands-on development of high-performance applications.
• •Key Responsibilities Develop and field web-based GCS/C2 software using modern web technologies.
• •Provide technical leadership for major GCS features and full-stack subsystems.
• •Collaborate with other engineering teams and external partners to define interface contracts.
• •Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to team growth and onboarding.
• •Drive design reviews, UI/UX prototyping, and API definitions.
• •Requirements BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• •Typically 4-7 years of related experience.
• •Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript) and building interactive web applications.
