• •Key Responsibilities Own the technical direction of systems for degree planning, scheduling, and registration.
• •Ensure registration systems perform predictably during peak load.
• •Design systems that handle concurrency and peak demand gracefully.
• •Enable the shift to career-focused planning without sacrificing system stability.
• •Drive engineering excellence and define best practices across the team.
• •Requirements 5+ years of backend engineering experience operating at scale.
• •Experience owning and operating reliable systems in high-stakes workflows.
• •Strong intuition for designing systems that behave predictably under peak load and concurrency.
• •Strong proficiency in SQL and database optimization (PostgreSQL a plus).
