About the role
TL;DR
Build and manage infrastructure for AI compute at scale.
- •The Production Engineer, IaaS will own the observability platform, define the API surface for infrastructure, build the production control plane, and ensure fleet state matches reality.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the observability platform and build data pipelines.
- •Design the API surface for infrastructure and manage its contracts.
- •Build the production control plane and manage unified machine operations.
- •Ensure fleet state as the source of truth and integrate with internal and customer-facing platforms.
- •Land new hardware into the platform cleanly.
- •Requirements Treat toil as a bug and build systems to automate repetitive tasks.
- •Design APIs that age well and avoid leaky abstractions.
- •Move toward ambiguity and build maps to explain complex systems.
- •Learn at a steep slope and reach competence in unfamiliar domains quickly.
- •Carry a pager and manage incidents, postmortems, and systemic fixes.
- •Fluent with AI tooling and production services at scale.
- •Experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, and time-series observability stacks.
