- •BuildOps is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to define and drive the company-wide technical strategy for building, shipping, and operating reliable software.
- •This high-impact role focuses on integrating quality and reliability across the entire system lifecycle.
- •Key Responsibilities Define and drive the technical strategy for engineering quality, production reliability, and safe software delivery.
- •Identify systemic risks and lead cross-team initiatives to address root causes of failures.
- •Establish architectural principles, standards, and paved roads for reliable system design and safe delivery.
- •Partner with engineering teams on system and product design to enhance resilience and operability.
- •Advance observability strategy to improve system understanding, regression detection, and failure diagnosis.
- •Requirements Significant software engineering experience, operating at Staff or equivalent scope on ambiguous, cross-cutting technical problems.
- •Track record of leading multi-team initiatives that improved production reliability, software delivery, or engineering effectiveness.
- •Strong systems thinking and ability to connect architecture, data integrity, operational behavior, and customer impact.
- •Experience designing and operating distributed systems in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS).
- •Strong software design and programming skills in TypeScript, Java, or another relevant language.
