About the role
TL;DR
Manage participant engagement and data for a NIDA-funded telehealth buprenorphine treatment study.
- •The Research Associate will be the primary participant-facing team member on a NIDA-funded SBIR grant studying telehealth buprenorphine treatment.
- •This role manages all direct participant engagement, from recruitment and consent through longitudinal follow-up, stipend management, and qualitative interview support, as well as day-to-day data management in REDCap.
- •Key Responsibilities Coordinate participant recruitment and screening across five high-risk settings.
- •Conduct informed consent, enrollment, and baseline data entry in REDCap.
- •Manage participant stipend disbursement and track follow-up completion rates.
- •Manage participant data in REDCap, resolve data discrepancies, and conduct quality checks.
- •Assist with scheduling qualitative interviews and coordinating transcription.
- •Requirements Master's degree in social work, public health, community health, psychology, or a related field. 2+ years of direct experience working with people experiencing substance use disorder, homelessness, justice involvement, or other forms of structural marginalization.
- •Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with participants.
- •Persistence and comfort with high-volume outreach via phone and email.
- •Deep commitment to harm reduction and improving the health and dignity of people who use drugs.
