TL;DR
Lead engineering teams, set technical direction, and drive delivery for a life insurance SaaS platform.
- •Bestow is seeking an Engineering Director to lead critical engineering teams focused on their core SaaS platform.
- •This role involves setting technical direction, driving efficiency, and ensuring delivery commitments for enterprise carrier partners.
- •Key Responsibilities Define and drive the technical vision for Implementation Platform Configuration and Enrollment Platform Core.
- •Promote configuration-driven patterns to reduce implementation costs and time.
- •Own delivery commitments and represent status to executive leadership.
- •Partner with Product and other teams to head off requirements churn.
- •Lead, mentor, and grow a group of Engineering Managers.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 8+ years of professional software development, and 5+ years of progressive engineering management experience including managing managers.
- •Deep experience in distributed systems, microservices architectures, event-driven, and event-sourced designs.
- •Proficiency in Golang and/or Python backend services, API design, asynchronous messaging, and PostgreSQL.
- •Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
