Full-stack Software Engineer to build and enhance Benchling's digital lab notebook.
- •Benchling is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Document Canvas team, focused on building a powerful, flexible, and user-friendly digital lab notebook for scientists.
- •This role involves developing intuitive interfaces and robust backend services to accelerate life sciences research.
- •Key Responsibilities Own large-scale projects end-to-end, from ideation to rollout.
- •Engineer across the full stack, from backend models & APIs to frontend components.
- •Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other teams.
- •Create net-new products and enhance existing ones.
- •Mentor engineers and lead technical discussions.
- •Requirements 5+ years of experience in a full-time software engineering role.
- •Experience developing both user-facing and backend experiences in a web application.
- •Experience with React or similar JavaScript-based frontend frameworks.
- •Experience leading large, sophisticated, long-term initiatives.
- •Interest in learning more about life sciences.
