- •The App Foundations group builds the surfaces and systems at the heart of the Benchling experience.
- •This role involves owning horizontally impactful systems and directly enabling product features enterprise customers depend on.
- •Key Responsibilities Serve as the senior technical authority for the Lab Notebook and Enterprise Lifecycle teams.
- •Independently architect and implement solutions to complex, open-ended problems.
- •Lead large, multi-quarter initiatives, breaking down ambiguous requirements into concrete technical plans.
- •Use technical decision-making as a tool of engineering strategy.
- •Provide technical leadership through code review, architectural guidance, and mentorship.
- •Requirements 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- •Experience as a technical lead on significant projects involving multiple engineers.
- •Strong experience building backend systems and APIs for cloud-based web applications.
- •Proven ability to design scalable, robust architectures.
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
