- •We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our Datastore team, which is central to Beacon's platform, defining the foundational data model and serving as the centralized repository and API for brain data.
- •Key Responsibilities Guide architecture and solutions for the Beacon Datastore and influence architectural standards across Platform teams.
- •Implement features that model best practices and coach team members.
- •Draft RFCs to lead complex feature discovery and technical design phases.
- •Requirements 10+ years of backend development experience, with a focus on data engineering, data platforms, and infrastructure.
- •Strong proficiency in SQL and production experience with PostgreSQL.
- •Proficiency with data streaming and event processing tools (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pulsar, Amazon Kinesis).
- •Experience deploying and operating services in containerized environments (Kubernetes, IaC tools like Terraform/Helm).
