About the role
TL;DR
Perform hands-on mechanical and electromechanical assembly for satellite hardware.
- •Albedo is making Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) mainstream, building the infrastructure to usher every satellite mission set into this new orbital domain.
- •As part of the first 100 employees, you will have a big impact on Albedo’s trajectory to proliferating VLEO.
- •Key Responsibilities Perform hands-on mechanical and electromechanical assembly of ground support equipment, R&D prototypes, and flight hardware.
- •Contribute to the design and development of production workspaces, tooling, and inventory management systems.
- •Create, update, and refine work instructions, build documentation, and configuration tracking.
- •Support outsourced manufacturing efforts and collaborate with engineers on design-for-manufacturability improvements.
- •Requirements Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- •Hands-on experience building or assembling mechanical or electromechanical systems.
- •Comfortable using common mechanical tools, shop equipment, and basic measurement tools.
- •Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CREO, Onshape, or similar).
- •This role is open for the Fall 2026 term.
