- •Babel Street is seeking a motivated Software Engineer I to join their data team.
- •This role will focus on building, maintaining, and supporting core data warehouse solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), collaborating with data analysts and business stakeholders to translate reporting requests into clean data models and Looker dashboards.
- •Key Responsibilities Assist in building and maintaining data models and tables in Google BigQuery.
- •Write and update SQL transformation logic to support business analytics.
- •Partner with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data and reporting needs.
- •Build, manage, and optimize Looker dashboards and reports.
- •Monitor and maintain Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer) DAGs.
- •Requirements Strong command of SQL, including joins, aggregations, and window functions.
- •Solid conceptual understanding of relational databases, ETL/ELT concepts, and data warehousing structures.
- •Hands-on experience or academic exposure to building dashboards in Looker or similar BI tools.
- •Familiarity with Python for basic scripting and comfort using Git for version control.
- •A proactive learner with strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
