About the role
TL;DR
Senior Staff Software Engineer to build and scale Gusto's iOS platform.
- •We are seeking experienced Mobile iOS Engineers to guide our mobile efforts.
- •You will develop the foundation for our mobile apps, scale shared services, and stay current with iOS advancements.
- •Collaborate with Product, Identity, Security, System Design, and Infrastructure teams to build impactful solutions.
- •Key Responsibilities Architect, build, test, and refine Gusto’s iOS app and supporting mobile web views.
- •Utilize AI agents to enhance productivity and deliver high-quality output.
- •Identify and advocate for best-practices, architecture, and process improvements.
- •Enhance and maintain iOS mobile infrastructure, including build pipelines and testing automation.
- •Build and scale foundational services like push notifications, accessibility, and localization.
- •Requirements A minimum of 10 years of experience in Swift and iOS software engineering, with at least 12 years in mobile software engineering overall.
- •Excellent communication skills and a knack for building strong cross-functional partnerships.
- •A self-driven mindset with the ability to tackle greenfield projects and bring innovative ideas to life.
- •Proficiency in iOS testing frameworks and a solid understanding of best practices.
- •Experience in developing platform components and common features that enhance scalability, consistency, performance, and maintainability.
