Ridehailing Site Reliability Engineer

Ensure stable operation and reliability of production systems for autonomous ride-hail fleet operations.

• •Waymo seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure stable operation and reliability of production systems supporting autonomous ride-hail fleet operations, working on fleet services, observability, automation, and global infrastructure.
• •Key Responsibilities Manage availability and performance of core fleet services and depot logistics.
• •Build observability, telemetry, and automation to meet supply/demand objectives.
• •Design, implement, deploy, and refine mission-critical services and global infrastructure.
• •Lead incident response and participate in an on-call rotation; run blameless retrospectives.
• •Drive technical direction and mentor engineers across SRE and SWE teams.
• •Requirements 6+ years architecting and maintaining mission-critical systems in C++, Java, or Python.
• •Experience with performance profiling, large-scale refactoring, and distributed systems.
• •Proven ability defining SLIs/SLOs/SLA and building observability/monitoring systems.
• •Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and mentoring engineers.
