Senior Application & Product Security Engineer

Build and drive the application and product security program at Babbel.

• •As the first dedicated Senior Application Security Engineer at Babbel, you will build and drive the application and product security program from the ground up.
• •Reporting to the Director of Information Security, you will have the ownership to shape security across the platform to maintain user trust and operational resilience.
• •Key Responsibilities Build, maintain, and evolve the application and product security program.
• •Partner with engineering and product teams to embed security into the development lifecycle and lead threat modeling.
• •Design security automation in CI/CD pipelines and manage the vulnerability lifecycle.
• •Drive secure AI adoption and establish frameworks for responsible AI deployment.
• •Requirements Strong experience in application or product security engineering roles.
• •Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• •Proficiency with security tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA, CSPM) and secure coding principles like OWASP.
• •Experience performing threat modeling and securing AI/ML systems.
