- •Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking an Injector Design and Development Engineer to lead the end-to-end process for rocket engine injectors.
- •This role involves rapid design, analysis, development, and validation of critical components for their rockets and satellites.
- •Key Responsibilities Own injector hardware from first-principles sizing through flight operation.
- •Perform physics-based architecture trades and design/analyze Thrust Chamber Assembly components.
- •Select manufacturing methods and lead build processes, iterating on designs.
- •Plan and execute test campaigns, including component tests and full-engine hotfire.
- •Analyze hotfire data and lead redesigns to meet mission requirements.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Space Systems, or equivalent.
- •Strong command of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and structural mechanics. 5+ years in mechanical design for manufacturing and rapid prototyping.
- •Hands-on ownership of the rocket engine injector lifecycle.
