About the role
TL;DR
Design and build scalable backend systems using Java and cloud-native architectures.
- •We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Munich or working remotely from Germany.
- •You will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems using modern Java technologies and cloud-native architectures.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 17 or other recent versions (11+).
- •Build and evolve microservice-based and event-driven architectures.
- •Develop APIs using GraphQL.
- •Work with Spring Boot and Spring Reactive (WebFlux).
- •Design and optimize data models using MySQL and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB or MongoDB).
- •Requirements Strong architectural mindset and experience with complex systems.
- •Proficiency in clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- •Experience with performance testing and end-to-end testing.
- •Collaboration with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps.
- •Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership when needed.
