About the role
TL;DR
Lead a team of software engineers to build and evolve Adyen's Global Cards platform for APAC.
- •As a Software Engineering Team Lead based in Singapore, you will lead a team of highly skilled software engineers responsible for building and evolving Adyen's Global Cards platform for the APAC region.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of Software Engineers, supporting both their technical and professional growth.
- •Foster a high-performing engineering culture built on ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- •Partner closely with Product Managers to translate business priorities into scalable technical solutions.
- •Drive the technical direction of the team, balancing product delivery with long-term platform scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
- •Deliver highly reliable and scalable software that supports global card payment methods, including authorisation, routing, settlement, and scheme integrations.
- •Requirements You have experience leading and developing high-performing software engineering teams.
- •You have a strong software engineering background building large-scale, distributed systems in Java or similar backend technologies.
- •You enjoy coaching engineers through technical mentorship, regular feedback, and career development.
- •You have experience working closely with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- •You have strong problem-solving skills and enjoy tackling complex technical challenges at scale.
