About the role
TL;DR
Staff Engineer to build and scale Adyen's global banking products.
- •As a Staff Engineer in Banking, you’ll contribute to building, releasing, growing, and scaling Adyen’s banking products.
- •You will define how customers hold and manage their finances, shaping the technical foundation and product capabilities for global solutions.
- •Key Responsibilities Set new standards for quality, reliability, and robustness in engineering systems and practices.
- •Make and coach others on long-term optimal technical decisions for scalable and maintainable systems.
- •Partner with product teams to design, define, and shape new product offerings.
- •Be a forefront problem solver for customer needs and challenges.
- •Research and prototype new product ideas and explore new technological spaces.
- •Requirements Proven track record of designing, building, and scaling large, complex engineering systems.
- •Experience in coaching and mentoring other engineers, and driving technical discussions to sound conclusions.
- •Prior experience with financial infrastructure, ideally in issuing, banking, treasury, and/or embedded finance. 10+ years of engineering experience in designing and building software.
- •Prior experience functioning as a (senior) Staff Engineer / Tech Lead in comparable tech companies, serving organizations of around 30 engineers.
