- •Key Responsibilities Reviewing medical records across an array of outpatient specialties to ensure that the correct diagnosis and procedure codes were assigned Developing positive, meaningful client relationships Partnering with clients to establish and maintain medical coding accuracy thresholds Requirements A current AAPC or AHIMA coding certification(s) 5+ years recently leading audit plans for procedure and diagnosis codes; for emergency department, primary care, and/or E/M leveling; for both professional fee and facility outpatient settings 5+ years activating new clients or new sites with coding
