- •Beacon Biosignals is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Datastore team, which is central to the company's platform.
- •This role focuses on designing and scaling backend systems for data infrastructure, including PostgreSQL data models, Kafka-driven event pipelines, and a GraphQL API.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead the design and integration of new services and components for data and event processing.
- •Own the pipelines that deliver dataset snapshots into the data warehouse.
- •Collaborate with platform and application teams to implement APIs that unlock new workflows.
- •Translate requirements into new integrations, services, and solutions for scaling the data platform.
- •Implement features with attention to detail, ensuring data integrity, design soundness, and maintainability.
- •Requirements 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years focused on data platforms and backend infrastructure.
- •Strong proficiency in SQL and production experience with PostgreSQL.
- •Hands-on experience with data streaming and event processing using Kafka or equivalent.
- •Proficiency in Julia or Python.
- •Experience deploying and operating services in containerized environments (Kubernetes, IaC tools).
- •Experience with GraphQL and TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js).
