Backend Engineer building scalable microservices for a unique online marketplace.
- •Catawiki is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their team in Lisbon.
- •You will be responsible for building scalable, maintainable, and resilient microservices and features for their platform, contributing to search and discovery, bidding, curation, logistics, payments, and support.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve scalable microservices and features.
- •Own the quality, resilience, and maintainability of your team’s services.
- •Collaborate with product designers, product owners, and other engineers.
- •Improve engineering processes and advocate for development best practices.
- •Requirements 7+ years of software development experience with object-oriented programming. 3+ years of experience with customer-facing products in e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS.
- •Experience designing and deploying backend services with a focus on high availability and low latency.
- •Good understanding of API design, SQL, and relational databases.
- •Excellent English communication skills.
