- •Amplitude is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Data Connections team.
- •This team is responsible for the import and export of behavioral and customer data, managing batch and streaming pipelines that handle billions of events daily.
- •Key Responsibilities Set the direction and roadmap for data import and export.
- •Lead, coach, and grow a team of around 10 engineers.
- •Partner with tech leads on architecture across ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- •Own reliability, SLOs, and cost efficiency for customer-dependent pipelines.
- •Expand supported destinations and sources.
- •Requirements 2+ years leading engineers (manager or tech lead). 6+ years building backend, data, or infrastructure systems.
- •Experience with data integration or pipeline work (ETL/ELT, data warehouses, streaming, or batch processing).
- •Comfort with modern cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Kafka, S3, Terraform).
- •Track record of improving system reliability, latency, or cost.
