Staff Software Engineer, Driver Validation

Build and evolve systems and tooling for Waymo's commercialization team.

• •Staff SWE on Waymo's Commercialization team building systems and tooling for ride-hailing and fleet management, collaborating across mobile, cloud backends and the Waymo Driver.
• •Key Responsibilities Build and evolve mission-critical horizontal infrastructure and tooling for commercialization systems Collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional partners to develop systems and processes Scale systems to support commercial expansion and complexity Solve challenging problems like world simulation for regression testing and fleet software evaluation Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 6+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience Experience with backend systems, developer/operations tooling, and cross-team collaboration Willingness or experience with C++ and working with non-technical stakeholders
