Senior Software Engineer, FinOps

Drive cloud cost efficiency and build FinOps systems.

• •Drive cloud cost efficiency and build FinOps systems across Nuro’s cloud infrastructure to reduce waste and enable cost-aware engineering.
• •Key Responsibilities Own cloud efficiency end-to-end across storage, compute, data, and ML infrastructure.
• •Drive cost-aware system design and partner on architecture reviews.
• •Build cost observability, attribution, and anomaly detection tools.
• •Automate lifecycle, tiering, and right-sizing to eliminate systemic waste.
• •Establish cost governance, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• •Requirements Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python or Go and production system experience.
• •Experience with public cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred) and billing/IAM/resource management.
• •Experience with data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake) and query optimization at scale.
• •Proven track record delivering measurable cost/performance improvements.
