- •Mill is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to develop the CV technology for Mill Commercial, transforming food waste into operational intelligence for commercial kitchens.
- •This role involves integrating cameras into food recyclers to identify and quantify food scraps, generating actionable insights for food service operators.
- •Key Responsibilities Train and evaluate segmentation, classification, and mass-estimation models.
- •Optimize edge models for production performance and scale ML pipelines.
- •Create and curate datasets for accuracy targets across various food types and environments.
- •Analyze failure cases and drive data/modeling decisions to close accuracy gaps.
- •Build annotation tooling and ground-truth generation workflows.
- •Requirements Strong fundamentals in computer vision and deep learning.
- •Fluency with modern ML approaches like VLMs, LLMs, and foundation models.
- •Experience evaluating ML models rigorously and using results to drive product decisions.
- •Product shipping experience, including dealing with post-deployment challenges.
- •Bias for action and a methodical approach to decision-making.
- •Software skills: Python, PyTorch, OpenCV.
- •Experience with LLM and agent frameworks.
