Member of Technical Staff (Test Engineering)

Build and manage test infrastructure for a distributed SQL database.

• •Join Cockroach Labs Test Engineering to build test infrastructure, exploratory bug-finding tools, and performance/scalability benchmarking for a distributed SQL database.
• •Key Responsibilities Design and build automated test infrastructure and frameworks (e.g., roachtest/roachprod).
• •Develop exploratory testing, failure injection, fuzzing, and static/dynamic analysis tools.
• •Create and run large-scale benchmarking and performance testing.
• •Detect and manage flaky tests and performance regressions.
• •Requirements Experience with distributed systems and large complex codebases.
• •Strong programming and test automation skills (systems-level testing).
• •Experience with performance/scalability testing and benchmarking.
