About the role
TL;DR
Integrate, test, deploy, and debug advanced autonomous robotics systems in real-world field conditions.
- •As a (Senior) Technical Field Engineer, you will own the last mile between SE3’s engineering team and real-world use.
- •You will bring together UAVs, payloads, sensors, onboard compute, autonomy software, operator tools, and partner environments into systems that are ready to fly, test, demonstrate, and deploy.
- •Key Responsibilities Create clarity in complex situations by separating symptoms from root causes and devising efficient debugging workflows.
- •Engage in cross-stack engineering, moving between hardware, software, sensors, calibration, perception, networking, and autonomy.
- •Integrate and configure UAVs, payloads, sensors, and autonomy software into field-ready systems.
- •Build and use intelligent debugging, analysis, and agent-based workflows to understand complex system behavior faster.
- •Define and run acceptance tests for platforms, payloads, and software releases.
- •Requirements Hands-on experience integrating, testing, operating, or troubleshooting complex robotic, UAV, embedded, or automotive systems.
- •Comfort moving between hardware and software, including Linux systems, sensors, radios, and operator tools.
- •Ability to read logs, inspect telemetry, use a command line, and debug configurations.
- •Proactive, hands-on, and willing to travel for field tests and deployments.
- •Fluent English; German is a strong plus.
