- •AON3D is seeking a Junior Material Scientist to join their R&D team.
- •This role focuses on understanding and quantifying polymer behavior for additive manufacturing processes, translating scientific findings into software controls to ensure strong and reliable printed parts.
- •Key Responsibilities Operate AON's high-temperature industrial 3D printers and become an expert in their use.
- •Formalize key polymer extrusion behaviors and their impact on print quality.
- •Design and conduct experiments to quantify phenomena and collaborate with software engineers to implement findings.
- •Develop test workflows, provide feedback on software improvements, and train technicians.
- •Requirements Master's or PhD in Material Science, Polymer Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- •Strong intuition for polymer behavior during extrusion processing.
- •Theoretical knowledge of polymer rheology, extrusion processing, and thermodynamics.
- •Experience in 3D printing, preferably FFF/FDM.
- •Experience with high-temperature performance polymers (Ultem, PEEK, PEKK-A).
