Lead the development of Vitable's Benefits Partner API Platform.
- •Vitable is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to lead the development and evolution of their Benefits Partner API Platform.
- •This role involves building a reliable, secure, and intuitive platform for external partners to integrate with Vitable's benefits infrastructure.
- •Key Responsibilities Own and operate the Partner API Platform, designing and building backend systems and APIs.
- •Lead complex projects end-to-end, from discovery to production launch and operation.
- •Set standards for API design, focusing on security, scalability, and ease of use.
- •Build a world-class developer experience with documentation, sandbox environments, and integration guides.
- •Requirements 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- •Experience designing, building, and operating production APIs or integration platforms.
- •Proficiency in Python and strong backend system design fundamentals.
- •Experience with API platform best practices, including authentication, authorization, and versioning.
- •Proven ability to lead complex projects independently and work cross-functionally.
