  • WindBorne Systems is seeking a Constellation Infrastructure Software Engineer to build and scale mission-critical systems for their global weather balloon constellation.
  • This role is central to the company's operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of flight operations, data processing, and internal tools.
  • Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain core infrastructure for manufacturing, launch, flight, internal tools, and data processing.
  • Ensure data pipeline integrity from satellite downlinks to customer-facing APIs, focusing on reliability and security.
  • Architect infrastructure to support projects requiring clearance and compliance.
  • Requirements Experience building and shipping full-stack applications, with fluency in Ruby on Rails and Postgres, or ability to learn quickly.
  • Proven experience managing 24/7 uptime systems and implementing best practices for reliability.
  • Understanding of system constraints and ability to optimize database and service infrastructure for low-latency performance.
  • Desire to work in-person in Redwood Shores, CA, with a small, impactful team.
