Ensure high-quality mechanical components for heat pump hardware through supplier development and quality engineering.
- •As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will ensure high-quality mechanical components for Quilt's heat pump hardware, focusing on tooling, plastics, and metal manufacturing.
- •You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive quality and process improvements.
- •Key Responsibilities Partner with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and quality systems for tooling, plastic injection molding, and precision metal components.
- •Lead tool, process, and new machine qualification, and approve tooling designs.
- •Validate tools through First Article Inspection (FAI), Capability Studies (Cpk/Ppk), and dimensional inspections.
- •Perform supplier audits, establish quality standards, and track supplier performance.
- •Lead APQP and PPAP activities for plastic and metal components.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field; advanced degree preferred.
- •Minimum of 10 years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing engineering, focusing on plastics and metal components.
- •Strong knowledge of injection molding, plastic part design, tool fabrication, and metal manufacturing methods.
