About the role
TL;DR
Security Engineer responsible for application security vulnerability management and security operations in a Clojure environment.
- •Ladder is seeking a Security Engineer / Analyst with a blend of application security engineering and risk management maturity.
- •This role will drive the vulnerability management lifecycle, balancing security operations with development-facing vulnerability management and compliance.
- •Key Responsibilities Champion application security vulnerability management, triaging and assisting with remediation in a Clojure ecosystem.
- •Configure, monitor, and respond to threats in real-time using cloud security operations tools.
- •Conduct security reviews and risk assessments for internal architecture, third-party vendors, and APIs.
- •Maintain and optimize corporate workspace security, including identity access management and device compliance.
- •Act as a security advocate, mentoring engineers on secure coding practices and making practical risk decisions.
- •Requirements 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience.
- •Hands-on experience coding in Clojure and working within the JVM environment.
- •Experience securing cloud infrastructures and incident response.
- •Ability to design security frameworks to prevent vulnerabilities.
- •Baseline certifications such as CompTIA Security+; CISSP highly preferred.
