Staff Software Engineer, Platform Infrastructure

Develop and maintain platform infrastructure strategy for Astronomer's multi-cloud platform.

• •Astronomer's products run on a complex, multi-cloud platform.
• •The reliability, scalability, and operational maturity of that platform is what we're actively investing in.
• •This role is about building the foundational systems that everything else runs on.
• •Key Responsibilities Own and develop our platform infrastructure strategy.
• •Be directly involved in deciding what we work on and how we work on it.
• •Make principled build vs. buy assessments and advocate for the right tools for the right job.
• •Create and maintain comprehensive internal documentation and decision records for systems and processes.
• •Requirements Distributed systems depth, grounded in practice.
• •Kubernetes at operator depth.
• •Strong Go proficiency.
