About the role
TL;DR
Ensure the reliability and safety of Supabase's deployment and release systems.
- •Supabase is seeking a Release Engineer (SRE) to join their Release Engineering team.
- •This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, observability, and recoverability of Supabase's deployment and release systems.
- •You will treat deployment pipelines and control planes as production systems, with SLOs and on-call ownership, making the reliable path the easy path for teams.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the reliability of Supabase's deployment and release systems against clear SLOs and error budgets.
- •Standardize and instrument deployment workflows to create trustworthy pre-production signals.
- •Drive disaster-recovery readiness and ensure environments are reproducibly deployable.
- •Build and operate health and SLO monitoring for critical user flows.
- •Reduce mean-time-to-detect and mean-time-to-recover for deploy-related incidents.
- •Requirements 5+ years in SRE, production operations, platform engineering, or release engineering.
- •Experience operating production systems at scale and carrying on-call for them.
- •Fluent in SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, DORA metrics, and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager).
- •Experience with incident response tooling (incident.io, PagerDuty, Opsgenie) and blameless postmortems.
- •Comfortable operating on AWS and with infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi, Terraform) and Kubernetes.
