Principal Data Analyst

Lead analytics strategy, drive complex initiatives, and influence organizational direction through data-driven insights.

• •Zynga's data science and analytics team uses expansive data to model and predict user behavior, making games more personalized and fun.
• •As a Principal Analyst, you will be a strategic thought leader and technical expert, setting the bar for analytical excellence and shaping long-term data strategy.
• •Key Responsibilities Define and shape the analytics strategy for one or more games.
• •Independently identify high-impact, ambiguous problems and drive them from conception to measurable business outcomes.
• •Implement novel analytical methodologies and advocate for their adoption.
• •Own architecture-level decisions on modeling approaches, data infrastructure, or measurement frameworks.
• •Influence senior and executive leadership through data-driven storytelling.
• •Requirements BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field; Masters, MBA, or PhD strongly preferred. 8+ years of work experience in data science or analytics roles.
• •Fluent in SQL; strong programming skills in Python; adept in at least one visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, or equivalent.
• •Deep expertise in statistics, experimental design, causal inference, machine learning, and/or deep learning.
