Lead government and defense outreach to drive procurement and contracts.

  • Lead Lumafield's government and defense outreach, managing relationships across DoD, Congress, and defense partners to drive procurement and contracts.
  • Key Responsibilities Own government and defense relationships end-to-end across DoD, Congress, and primes.
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline from engagement through procurement and contracting.
  • Determine and execute acquisition pathways (OTA, SBIR, GSA, subcontracting).
  • Shape requirements with program offices and brief leadership and Congress on strategy.
  • Develop partnerships with defense innovation organizations and present forecasts and roadmaps.
  • Requirements 8–15+ years combined military, government, and private-sector experience.
  • Direct experience with DoD acquisition and contracting vehicles (FAR/DFARS, OTA, SBIR, GSA).
  • Experience on Capitol Hill or as liaison between DoD and Congress.
  • Technical fluency in non-destructive inspection and manufacturing quality assurance.
